Lookin for new sounds?

This page is dedicated to artists who are about to blow up or just did. Below are those I feel deserving...if you know of some that you dont see here, let me know and Ill add 'em on.

Also, I have no more free pages available to me to add on to this website, though I have so many more artists that more than deserve to be featured on here for you to check out: Alana Davis, Ray LaMontagne , Citizen Cope , Jon Rajewski , Eva Cassidy , Gary Jules , Franky Perez , Rhett Miller , Alexi Murdoch , Gomez , Sondra Lerche , Granian , Rockwell Church , Lesley Pike , and Dan Haas , in no particular order.

Wesley Keith
Wesley Keith is a young musical prodigy hailing from Ramsey, NJ taking his college town of Richmond, VA by storm.  A flawless voice accompanied by ever-impressive guitar work, Wes's talent is unmistakable.  Having just returned home from London after a semester abroad, Wes was able to expand his locale and comfort of playing among friends and family to playing various pubs and coffee shops along the cobble-stoned international streets.  Along with the release of his 6-song EP For Josie with fellow guitarist Brian Callery, Wes has written and composed all of the music and lyrics of the numerous solo songs he has since completed, leaving one to listen in awe at how far beyond his years he seems to be in both sound and content. Though still within the college scene, Wesley is just now getting the exposure he deserves, so hear 'em first here before your friends start talking about him.

Jon McLaughlin

Jon McLaughlin's music can only be described as phenomenal.  So much of popular music on the radio today lacks the substance that so many of the real yet unheard artists have in plentitude.  Jon is one of those.  Starting out as a young pianist, his talent evolved from beyond just the instrument, becoming the phenomenal singer and songwriter he is today.  His voice is unbelievable, only strengthened by his flawless fingerwork on the piano.  With two amazingly successful EP's out, one in which he recorded in his friend's small studio in just three hours, Jon is on the brink of making it big, so click below to hear him first...

Tristan Prettyman

Tristan Prettyman's talent is beyond words.  She is without a doubt one of the most talented female artists I have heard in a long, much-anticipated time.  Her voice is absolutely flawless and magnificently filled with emotion; her songs are raw and honest yet soft and beautiful.  Thanks to friends of her such as Jason Mraz and G. Love who she's most recently been touring with, Tristan is finally getting the exposure she absolutely deserves.  Voted BEST ACOUSTIC ACT of 2004 by the San Diego Music Awards, young and gorgeous Tristan Prettyman is the whole package with many years of success surely to come.  Trust me and CLICK BELOW.

Xavier Rudd

Australian singer/musician hailing from Victoria, Xavier Rudd, possesses the one-man band aura unseen in recent musicians.  As apparent from this picture, not only does Xavier sing, but he plays a plethora of instruments ranging from guitar to the didgereedoo, a traditional Aboriginal wind instrument, amazingly difficult to master that Xavier so beautifully has.  The title of his newest release, Solace, perfectly sums up what this album is.  Though ranging in a variety of songs going from political issues to black/white controversy to simple heartly songs, Solace is the kind of album you put on while driving in your car that puts you in the perfect calm mindest this album embodies.  Enjoy Xavier.

John Butler Trio

John Butler Trio is an Australian-based band who in recent years has been the supporting act to Jack himself.  A band first driven by environmental awareness, JBT has just released Sunrise Over Sea, a beautiful collection of songs ranging from nature to family to modern issues, making it their most eclectic and broad album yet.  Unlike the majority of albums compared to Jack, JBT keeps the album going by switching the tempo of songs, ranging from slow soft songs to loud "awareness-rising" songs, yet all blending beautifully together.  Lucky for Australia, JBT's constantly touring around the countyl; We can just hope they plan on coming back to the states again soon.

Brandon Chandler

Like your favorite pair of stone-washed, ripped jeans from Hollister, Brandon Chandler sounds like he's been around for decades, filled with aged experience, when in fact he's really just as old as the guy that sold you those jeans.  At the ripe age of 20 years old, this Portland-native sounds like a mixture of anyone from Ray LaMontagne to Jason Mraz to Gary Jules to Jack Johnson - just a musical bomb waiting to explode.  For now confined to the Northwest, Brandon has blessed those of us who are unable to make it to that part of the country with a website of tracks and downloads to engage our ears, minds, and hearts until our eyes can finally see the mastermind once he's hit it big and is touring a city near you.  Listen to him here first:

The Beautiful Girls
Contrary to what their name suggests, The Beautiful Girls is a group of three talented male musicians with an unmistakeable musical gift. Similar to Jack, Ben Harper, and Donavon Frankenreiter (below), TBG reign from the coast of Australia and are definitely worth checking out. If you like any of the sounds mentioned above, which you obviously do since you're at this website right now, I think you'll definitely create a liking for these guys.

Matt Ryczek
Matt Ryczek is a young artist coming out of Athens, GA bound to make it big. His songs are thoughtful and his voice is gorgeous. I had never heard of the name until very recently when I came across it looking for some new music and, needless to say, Im very surprised he isnt bigger than he is at the moment. With the guitar-bound lyrics like Jack and other sounds reminiscent of many other artists mentioned on this page, take my advice and check Matt out. (www.mattryczek.com)

Donavon Frankenreiter
Donavon Frankenreiter is a professional surfer/musician that, like Jack, got his start in music through bootlegs generated through surf buddies. He started out in a band called Sunchild, and has now gone solo, for the better in my opinion. His voice is so soft and comforting, quite reminiscent of some of Ben Harper's softer stuff, along with the surfer-mellowness of Jack and the likes. Though the name may be a bit daunting, Donavon is definitely one worth checking out. Enjoy.

Dean Fields
Dean Fields' talent has been compared to "the voice of two angels" and labeled as one of the Southeast's best acts by Billboard Magazine, yet he still remains virtually unknown outside his loyal circle of followers on the east coast. A unique sound with hints of David Gray and Ryan Adams, Dean Fields is a musician with a very passionate and sweet soulful style. I recommend only the best, so be sure to check him out.
